Simran Kaur is a surrealist still life and creative portrait photographer and artist. She is Punjabi and she is currently based in London.
Simran’s main objective is to make the viewer’s dreams come true by creating intriguing setups, but she does also create mental health or environmental awareness with her experimental photography. At the same time, she also creates dreamlike abstract visuals to make the viewer explore another reality.
Analysis showcases how people tend to analyse their faces multiple times in a day. Every morning people look at their mirrors and start analysing their faces. Every single imperfection is seen with a little touch, stretch, zoom in and out, breath in and out. You wash and scrub your face to eliminate that imperfection you see but others can’t yet you still overthink about how others will react to that imperfection that makes you perfect.
This project made Simran Kaur emerge from the hate she felt towards her body, as she realised how perfectly imperfect was which makes each of us unique.
